Trendlines that draw themselves, and break signals you can trust

The trendlines. At every confirmed swing high the indicator starts a resistance line; at every swing low, a support line (default swing lookback 12 bars). Instead of joining two old pivots, each line leaves its pivot at a slope set by volatility: ATR (or standard deviation) divided by the swing length. Lines stay smooth and fit the current pace of the market.

The break. A close above the active resistance line is a bullish break; a close below the active support line is a bearish break. Each line can only signal once, and a minimum gap (default 3 bars) separates signals.

Broken lines. With Fade Broken Lines on, a broken line stays on the chart in a faded colour so you can see the story of the trend. Turn it off to delete them.

Score and trade plan. Each break is scored out of 7. If it reaches your minimum (default 5) the Buy or Sell tag appears with Entry, structural stop and targets, and the dashboard's SIGNAL row tracks the trade.

Every signal comes with a trade plan

• Entry at the close of the signal bar.
• Stop-loss at the most recent confirmed swing low or high, never closer than 0.5 x ATR.
• TP1, TP2, TP3 spaced evenly so the last target equals your Reward:Risk (default 1.5R). Choose 1, 2 or 3 targets.
• A tick appears on each target that is reached and a cross on the stop if it is hit.

Install in two minutes

1. Download your files from the order page and open Trendline-Break-Pro-v1.0.pine in any text editor. Select all and copy.
2. On TradingView open a chart, then the Pine Editor (bottom panel).
3. Delete the sample code and paste. The first line must read //@version=6.
4. Click Save, name it Trendline Break Pro, then Add to chart.
5. For alerts with the full plan: Add alert, choose the indicator and Any alert() function call.
