Risk disclosure
The risks of trading gold with Aurivo Gold, in plain language. Last updated 17 October 2026.
In short
- Trading gold on leverage is high risk, and you can lose more than you put in.
- A stop loss on every trade limits each loss. It does not remove losses, and fills can be worse than planned.
- Quiet months and losing streaks are part of how Aurivo trades.
- Backtests are simulations, not live results, and nothing here is financial advice.
Trading risk
Aurivo Gold trades gold (XAUUSD) on a leveraged account. Leverage magnifies gains and losses, and gold can move fast. You can lose all the money in your trading account and, with some brokers, more than you deposited. Only trade money you can afford to lose.
What Aurivo does and does not do
Aurivo uses no grid and no martingale. Every trade has a stop loss from the moment it opens, it never adds to a losing position, and the size of each trade is set so a full stop costs a fixed share of your equity.
That limits the loss on each trade. It does not remove losses. A stop loss can be hit many times in a row, and in fast markets or around news your broker may fill it at a worse price than you set (slippage), so a loss can be larger than planned.
The equity guard closes trades and stops the EA when equity falls by the limit of your risk profile: 20% on Conservative, 30% on Standard, 35% on Growth and 45% on Aggressive. It protects against a runaway loss only while the EA is running and connected to your broker. It is a limit on how far an account can fall, not a promise that it will stop at that level.
Losing streaks and quiet months
Aurivo trades only when gold is moving enough to pay for the risk, and waits on standby otherwise, so some weeks have few or no trades. Losing streaks and flat months will happen.
In the 12-month test of v1.0 the only losing month was February 2026, and the largest equity drawdown was 11.6% on Standard. A different year can be worse, which is why each profile also has a hard equity guard.
Backtests are not live results
The published results are simulations on historical data: real ticks on a cent account, 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026. They show how the rules would have behaved in that period, which was a strong, volatile year for gold. Live trading differs because of spreads, slippage, broker rules and market conditions that change. Past and simulated results do not guarantee future results. See the backtest results for the settings and every month.
Choosing a risk profile
Higher profiles risk a larger share of equity per trade and accept deeper drawdowns for the chance of higher returns. In the test, the largest equity drawdown rose from 7.6% on Conservative to 19.1% on Aggressive. Choose the profile by the drawdown you could accept in real money, not by the return figure. If in doubt, start with Conservative or Standard.
Technical and account risks
Aurivo needs a MetaTrader 5 hedging account with XAUUSD, and it can only manage trades while MetaTrader is running and online. A computer that sleeps, a lost connection or a broker outage can leave trades unmanaged, so many traders use a VPS. The licence check needs the WebRequest address https://license.tradelytics.cloud to be allowed in MetaTrader. Software can contain errors and is provided “as is”.

Not financial advice
TradeLytics sells software and publishes information. We are not a broker, a financial adviser or a fund manager, and nothing on this site is investment advice.
